EVALUATION QUESTION 3: AUDIENCE FEEDBACK

• Establishing shot of band required at intro - to introduce the audience to the band. The kick drum introduces us to the band's name and the idea of music, however we need to see the band to know what we are watching and so we can match the band's name with a band to create a relationship between the audience and them.
• Subtitles could be added to help to further signify time and location of the changing shots.
• It's been suggested that the fast paced intro could be black and white to emphasise the idea that we are going back in time to before the band had set up their gear - taking musically recognisable conventions as seen in the video for Guns N Roses' Paradise City. The transition from black and white to colour could work well as the camera shot changes from a roadie point of view to the thoughts of the singer (0:21 as the singer sings to himself/into the camera)
• The band are unhappy with the shot of the singer singing into the camera for verse 1 as filming this made him feel uncomfortable, and they believe this is visible in the footage. However I think this shot is important to help connect the audience to the band - The eye contact between the singer and the camera helps to draw us in - we feel as though he is singing to us. The camera is a little shaky and the lighting is slightly uneven but I will edit this  accordingly.
• In a few of the following shots (0:36 - 0:43) it has been commented on that the dark lighting of the indoors clashes with the other shots of outdoors. I will work to adjust the lighting to make it even across all the clips.
• Between the times 0:53 - 1:00 it has been noticed that there is a few continuity errors. The most obvious being that the drummer goes from standing to seated, to standing, to seated again. To overcome this I will switch two of the clips so once we've seen the drummer sit down he stays seated.
• The shot from 1:14 to 1:20 is too similar to the shot that follows it. I need to change to a different angle or a shot of a different member. I will find an alternative clip to put here that syncs with the music still.
• I cannot use the clip I'm currently using at 1:25 as the drummer has stopped playing and this will affect the continuity of the video greatly; To overcome this I will have to find some different footage of verse 1, this may end up with me needing to reassess the order of clips I use in the verse.
• I have been told that the guitar solo is too long, I will need to take shots of the audience and other band members to split this up a little and avoid it becoming stale and boring for the audience. I have also been told that throughout the progression of the solo (1:51 - 2:19 approx) members of the band not playing are visible in the background. I can easily overcome this by cropping some of the clips so they can no longer be seen.
• It was suggested that I merge some of the diegetic sound of the crowd into the video during the ending. This will help the audience to feel as though they are a part of the crowd witnessing the performance live in front of them. I must be careful when doing this however, because the live sound of the band performing may clash with the sound of the track.
• The transition between clips at 3:33 doesn't feel smooth. The two don't flow together and it is an uncomfortable ending to the video. I need to change the clip and the lighting to make the two fit together and to create a smoother ending to the video. I may need to add a transition to help make it even smoother.
• I've been told the syncing is very good, though I feel some areas need to be tighter. 
• The lighting needs to be evened up across the video.
